Cintra Harbold, LCPC

Cintra Harbold is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with over 30 years of experience working with children and adults in nonprofit, educational, and mental health settings. Cintra understands that paying attention to the connection between our mind and body is important to our health and healing, and therefore uses experiential methods as her prime modality. This involves incorporating techniques and activities such as art, movement, role-playing and other dramatic techniques (psychodrama), music, and even time in nature, in conjunction with traditional talk therapy. Through participating in the activities, you will be better able to access memories, thoughts, and feelings and explore their meaning.

As your therapist, Cintra will focus on your comfort level and gradually incorporate experiential and expressive interventions into your time together. You will learn helpful coping skills and will be encouraged to tap into the spontaneity and creativity we all have within us. Cintra is most skilled and experienced in working with issues of anxiety and stress, past trauma, life transitions, relationship issues, self-confidence and self-compassion. She is also connected to the LGBTQ+ community and able to help with issues of acceptance, bias or coming out as an individual or with families.

Cintra is trained in EMDR, is a certified nature-informed therapist and continues to pursue advanced training in psychodrama.
